Adding an Image to Photoshop Using Drag and Drop
The quickest way to add an image to Photoshop is by using drag and drop.
Open Photoshop and, using the drag–and–drop method, drag an image to Photoshop from Explorer or your desktop. It will automatically create a new document with a locked Background layer.
If you want to edit the layer, you can Right-click the layer and select Layer from Background. You can give this layer a new name and afterward click OK. The layer will stop being locked, and you can start editing it.
